Lemons and Limes - They are for More than Recipies

Here are some uses for your lemons and limes:

Six medium lemons will yield one cup of lemon juice.

Six to eight medium limes will year one half to two thirds cup of juice. 

Usually, lime juice can be substituted for lemon juice.

To prevent discoloration of potatoe slices, sprinkle lemon juice on them.

Remove strong oders, such as onion, by rubbing lemon juice on your hands.

Try squeezing a bit of lemon juice rather than salt into boiling water for your pasta.

Clean copper with a paste of lemon juice and salt.  Rinse and polish dry.
